Hotel Albri by Rotamundos

Parking, air conditioning, and a pool that works for kids were all fine. I did get worried about the marks on my back, though. They look different from ordinary bites, and I suspect they might be from bed bugs, but I'm not sure. Check carefully.

The pool is spacious and has a shallow section, and there’s a big parking area with security around the clock. It’s near the beach, while being far enough from the center to avoid much of the Friday and Saturday music. A few things could be better: the rooms have beds, a chair, a table, and a TV, but nowhere to hang clothes or store things. The bathroom is roomy and complete, though they give you very little soap, and the beds are only moderately comfortable. The air conditioning took ages to cool the room and never worked that well. The hallways and pool area were dim, and the stairs could use non-slip mats for people getting out of the pool. I also noticed that guests booking through BestDay seemed to get older rooms, while booking directly got newer ones, and I think the direct rate may be cheaper.

They kept the pool clean throughout the day, and it was excellent.

Our rooms were right beside the pool, which was a nice temperature. The basics were there, and the rooms stayed clean. It’s two blocks from the beach and around five from the town center. We paid 850 pesos for a room with air conditioning, which felt affordable. It’s a good, quiet place to stay.
