Hotel Catala

We paid for three nights but were made to leave after one because of our pet, a well-behaved little Yorkie we always walk. They took our payment and gave us no receipt, then refused to refund the other two nights. The service was awful: the staff member was rude, ill-tempered, and domineering. She yelled at me and insulted me over hair in a bathroom that wasn't even our room, and seemed to be looking for a fight. She came into rooms without permission, shouting that the cleaner had complained, then accused us of making the towels dirty again. That was in a different room, and at one point she nearly hit my nose with her phone. All the complaints were about another room, yet she kicked us out. The hotel itself is dark and unpleasant, with tiny rooms and a small, stifling bathroom. The woman running it felt just as suffocating. For Wi-Fi, she gives you the details and tells you to enter your password if you want to access websites. I found the whole place disgusting. Beware.

You can hear every noise from one room to the next. When we were there, children made it impossible to rest, so it's better to find another place if you need quiet.

Inexpensive and peaceful, with restaurants nearby. The beach, town center, and pier are all close too.

The pool water was warm and just the right temperature. The hotel is centrally located and has air conditioning. Everything was clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent and very friendly. We had a comfortable stay.
