The entertainment team was a trip highlight. They seemed to really love the job, and were welcoming, friendly, and inclusive, especially with children. The beaches and pools were great, and most rooms had an incredible view. The resort area was kept clean, with rooms cleaned twice a day, and I was impressed by how polite the staff were, even if they’re likely polite because it’s their work. The lobby bar bartenders stood out for quick, delicious drinks and were happy to chat about whatever you wanted. I saw them talking with other guests too, and they felt very welcoming. I had an absolutely amazing time at Grand Fiesta Americana and look forward to coming back. I’d recommend it to anyone.

We went in winter, January 5-25, and had lovely weather around 78 degrees, no crowds, and good value for the budget. My partner and I just got back from the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa, where our stay exceeded what we expected. We tried camel riding and ATVs, and both were well organized, fun and memorable. As a cigar smoker, I also appreciated having designated places to relax with a cigar. The service really stood out. Reggie, our waiter, was friendly and attentive at every meal. Laura from the lobby/bell service was welcoming and helpful, and Elena at the front desk was warm and professional, making everything seamless from check-in to check-out. Their hospitality made us feel valued. We’re already talking about spending longer there on our next visit. The relaxed atmosphere, amenities, service and winter weather all made for a great vacation. We can’t wait to return! Tony & Diane Dangerfield From Chicago

We were in a villa master suite at Grand Fiesta for one week. The room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the ocean, resort and whales. Snacks and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks were kept in the fridge. The pools were cleaned through the day, and pool and beach attendants worked hard to find everyone a seat and shade. The golf cart service around the property came in handy, and town was a quick Uber away, about $18 CAD. Staff were friendly, room service was excellent, and they followed through on minibar stocking requests. Most restaurants and room service took allergies seriously. We liked the food, especially the pool menu wings and quesadilla, buffet and room service pastries, and arepas at Latin night. But several things disappointed us. We got a timeshare pitch as soon as we checked in. Breakfast buffet service was poor 4/5 times, even with lots of staff. Hostesses stood around while servers served and cleared tables, and it seemed the priority was moving people through rather than giving good service. Requests for Baileys in coffee or a small plate of fruit that hadn’t touched pineapple because of an allergy were impossible on all but 2 occasions. Breakfast at Peninsula was horrible. We waited nearly 2 hours, and several people left before their food arrived. At La Bodega, a paid restaurant, the server brought out a tray of meat to upsell the premium menu. My partner declined a premium item, but the server kept pushing. It was my birthday, so it felt especially off putting to be sold a main dish when we wanted to focus on the occasion. As others have said, they do little to mark special occasions beyond a dessert prepared on the plate with a sparkler. We also had a $25 food and beverage credit through Expedia that wasn’t honored at checkout. That felt cheap, especially since at check-in they asked us to book through the hotel next time because Expedia takes a cut of their money. We’d stay again, though I hope they make customer service improvements.

The property is beautiful, and our first day on the beach, at the pool and in the restaurants was great. We stayed at Fiesta Americana Vacation Club Los Cabos from February 28 - March 7, 2026 for my parents’ anniversary, but the last days were spent chasing basic answers about a missing necklace. On the evening of March 1, while getting ready for dinner, I put several necklaces back in a zipped pouch in my toiletry bag before leaving the room. We left around 5:00 AM the next morning for a whale watching excursion. When we returned later that morning, housekeeping had serviced the room. That evening, I noticed one chain was missing. We told the front desk right away. Security came to our room, had us fill out a report and searched while we were there. They said they’d review cameras and key card access and give us a report the next day, but it never came. We kept returning to the desk for updates during the rest of the stay. Staff repeatedly said someone would call or management would follow up, but no one did. Several staff members seemed unaware of what had happened each time we asked. Security told us to wait for the investigation before having housekeeping resume service, so the room went uncleaned for several days. Roaches then started appearing in the bathroom, kitchen and closet. On checkout morning we spent hours explaining the situation all over again to new staff before we finally reached the head of security. They said there was no evidence the necklace had been in the room, though I’d explained I’d worn it earlier on the trip. The worst part wasn’t even losing the item. It was the lack of communication, follow-through and accountability from security and management. The trip was for my parents’ anniversary, but our final days became a struggle to get basic answers. It’s a beautiful property, but after this experience I wouldn’t feel comfortable staying here again or recommending it.

One of the best value stays on the tourist strip, and we’ll be back. The snorkeling was the highlight, quite literally some of the best I’ve done in my life. Bring snorkel gear and water shoes. This is one of the rare resorts on the tourist strip where you can swim and snorkel safely, and Playa Santa Maria is just 5 minutes away by cab or Uber, with amazing swimming and snorkeling too. We counted well over 25 species, including turtles, eels, puffers, octopus and beautifully coloured fish. The place is older, but the resort and buildings feel very Mexican in design. Our room was clean and the views were beautiful. Everything was clean and ran like a well oiled machine. Food was delicious, and we never had a bad meal. Service was beyond exceptional for what the vacation cost. A few people made the stay extra nice: Alex at the International Buffet Breakfast was gracious, Nelson at la cevicheria was funny and attentive, Pamela at La Mexicana was friendly and professional, Angel served us attentively at Mexican Culture night, and Juan at the Italian restaurant was lovely and professional. We absolutely loved staying here.
