The hotel was clean and in a really convenient spot, with the beach two blocks away and downtown two blocks in the other direction. The rooms were spacious, and the beds comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly throughout. They lend towels for the pool and beach, and give you a wristband for a beach club, though we didn't get a chance to go. A couple of things to keep in mind if you're bringing older adults: there’s no elevator or restaurant service. The showers use saltwater, though I think that’s common in the area.

It's close to the sea, clean, and nicely kept. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. I loved the hotel and would recommend it! 👏🏽👍🏽

The pool was a highlight: it’s spacious, nice, and not too deep. I’m 1.62 meters tall and can walk in it. There’s also a bathroom to rinse off after the beach, though the men's bathroom was very dirty when we arrived. There’s a waiting area to sit in, and shops are about 5 minutes away. The beach and downtown Tecolutla are not far. In the room, the bathroom was fine and came with towels, shampoo, lotion, soap, and toilet paper. There was also a safe and a clothes rack. But the water for bathing and washing was salty, so bring a bottle for brushing your teeth. Since the bathroom has no door, water splashes around and pools by the toilet. We had to use a towel to clean it up because the floor was slippery. The room looked clean at first, but the blankets had coffee-like stains and there were a few hairs on the sheets and pillows. On arrival, there's a card to turn on the lights, but nobody explained that we had to insert it. The internet password was on the tip envelope, but it didn't work for me. They provide remotes for the TV, internet, and air conditioning, but should explain how they work, especially the air conditioning remote with all its buttons. The staff were good, though.

There were bedbugs in the beds, and the staff denied it and got angry when we showed them. They showed no empathy and took no responsibility. We had to go down to reception, but they didn't give me a different room until the next day, and only when they felt like it. This is one of the most expensive hotels in the area, so that kind of service is unacceptable. I’m never coming back.
