Taboga Eco Boutique Hotel

The cabaña was stunning, with sea views, nice linen, and a comfortable bed. After a nine-hour drive from Villahermosa, we slept really well. At night, we made a fire at Taboga’s beach fire pit and roasted marshmallows for the kids. This was the last stop on a Christmas road trip with my sons before heading back to Mexico City, and Taboga was the loveliest place we stayed during our 4000km drive. There are shaded spots to relax, a big green garden right by the beach, private beach access, and plenty of peace and quiet. The staff were friendly, the Wi-Fi was good, and we had a good phone signal. And the food! Wow. Loved our stay.

The rooms have a style I really liked, and everything is clean. The security guards are always kind and helpful. The restaurant food was outstanding and the service was amazing. It's probably the second best place to stay in the zone. The only thing I'd change is the pool size.

I had two excellent days of rest and will definitely come back. The eco cabaña stayed at a perfect temperature all day, even though I've read reviews complaining that it has no air conditioning. The beach palapas, sun chairs, and day beds were lovely, and the restaurant was clean with delicious food. The staff were incredibly helpful. I booked a beach massage at very short notice, and they were able to fit me in. The technique was excellent, but the masseur brought her young son along, which felt awkward and distracting. I think that was mostly because the hotel accommodated my request so quickly, but I wanted to mention it.

The beach was clean, though nothing special, and the stay was relaxing, just right for a quick getaway. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the beds were very, very comfortable. They were full size, though, which felt a bit small for a couple used to a King Size bed. The food was very good apart from a few things, like the aguachiles, which weren't hot enough. I had made a reservation, but they didn't have it available when I arrived, so they offered me a better room for the same price. The mojitos were awesome.
