Cabañas Grasshopper

The pool is chilly, but we still had a great time, especially watching a movie at night and eating some really good grilled meat. The place itself is beautiful. You'll need a car to get there, and should bring food, though Uber Eats delivers, even late at night. Follow the directions closely and you're set for a lovely day. 😮‍💨

For the 10,000 pesos I paid, I think there are better places with more quiet, comfort, and service, so I wouldn't come back. There were a lot of details that let this place down. The shower was unpleasant, with plenty of mold and dirt, and the kitchen utensils were very worn. The cabin wasn't clean either, and the space underneath it looked like a dump. The small pool was cloudy and unusable. They do say it isn't heated, but the water was freezing. There was no light by the grill, so we had to use our phone flashlights at night. A nearby road meant we heard trucks and cars mixed in with the sounds of nature. This place COULD be amazing if they paid closer attention to the details.

It's easy to find the cabins using the directions they provide, and the service was excellent. The place was clean and had what we needed, so there was no reason to leave. The cabins are comfortable and modern, and made a good break from city stress.

We went to Grasshopper in Tepoztlán to celebrate my 30th birthday, but the stay was awful from the moment we arrived on October 24th. Alexis was the only person at the resort, and he didn't even have the gate keys. We got stuck trying to enter, then again when we wanted to leave, and waited nearly 40 minutes just to go eat. We messaged them on WhatsApp at the reservation number and got no reply. Later they said they "don't have a phone," which seems very suspicious for a place advertising itself as luxurious. The cabin had a long list of problems. The Wi-Fi didn't work, the fridge didn't cool and left a puddle, so our food stayed at room temperature. The pool was cloudy and dirty. There was blue mold on the walls and ceilings, which is dangerous to breathe, animal eggs on the walls, and a torn mosquito net. It looked nothing like the advertising. We'd planned to stay and celebrate, but left that same day without sleeping there. We sent all our complaints by WhatsApp and asked for a refund since we hadn't even been there five hours. We paid $9,400 and got nowhere near what was promised. We've sent messages and emails and still haven't heard back, so we'll have to take legal action to get our money back. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE CABINS. Their carefully taken photos don't come close to how the place really is.
