Hospedaje La Hoja

The flowers, plants, landscaping, quiet atmosphere, and views made the property beautiful. At $25 a night, the price was the best part, though the place does need some improvements. Our room had only three outlets, and more plugs or three way adapters would help with charging two phones, a tablet, and two smart watches. The hot water kept coming and going, and a bit more water pressure would be good. I also would have liked a small lamp, more towels, and a chair so I didn't have to sit on the bed.

Señora Noemi is a charming lady. We had a really nice stay: the room was large and very clean, with a big, comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi, showers, and AC all worked perfectly.

The owner and keeper were very friendly, and the included breakfast was tasty. The cafe de olla was especially good. We got to choose from the available rooms, and even though it was pouring rain when we arrived late at night, they kindly opened the door and let us in.

It has a homey, Airbnb-like feel, with the family living there too. The beds were super comfortable, and the rooms had TVs and hot showers. It's about a 10-minute walk to the center. The family were always helpful and recommended Las hormiguitas, an amazing Mexican buffet if you want a really Mexican meal. I'm not sure how much English they speak, but they try hard to make you feel welcome, so it shouldn't be a problem. I totally recommend it.
