The room was decent, with air conditioning and a shower that mostly stayed hot. There’s no minibar, and the mattresses are very firm, though I know that comes down to personal taste. Food was okay, about what I’d expect at a good backpacker hostel. Staff couldn’t charge anything to the room, so be ready to pay as you go. The pool area felt a bit naco: the pool is tiny and there’s no bar or anything up there. Most of the staff seemed unfriendly and unenthusiastic, apart from one lovely waitress who was keen to practice her English. Watch out for the dog. She seems friendly, wagging her tail and begging around the dining tables, but she’ll bite if you try to pet her, and she hasn’t had a rabies vaccination. It was one of the cheaper options and did the job, but looking back, I should’ve paid a bit more.
