The place looks nice and the location is really good. We arrived at 12pm, and they let us into an available room then, which was very helpful for dropping off our bags. I wouldn’t go back, though. The rooms are tiny, and you bump into the furniture. In cold weather it gets really, really cold, even with the extra blanket they leave, and there’s no climate control. The windows face straight onto the bed and bathroom, and the curtains are so see-through that people outside can see in when the light is on. The biggest problem was the lack of hot water. We complained for about four hours before they gave us around 20 minutes of hot water, enough for a quick shower, then it went cold again. They said the afternoon receptionist didn’t know how to turn on the heaters and hadn’t done it, so the water didn’t heat enough that night. That was their explanation, but from the other reviews I read, people had been reporting hot water problems for more than a year without a fix. I doubt they’ll resolve it. It seemed to us like they were trying to save gas and only turn the heaters on if you insist. A man in another room got so angry he asked for his money back. After all those hours, we asked too, but they basically said it wasn’t their problem and they wouldn’t refund anything because we’d already “used” the room. It was only 7-8pm, we hadn’t even slept, and we wanted to use the jacuzzi, which we’d paid extra for. We couldn’t use that either. The pool doesn’t work, even though it’s still shown in the photos. I saw reviews about that going back a year, and it still wasn’t working. We did get a few minutes of hot water after threatening to cancel and refusing to leave reception until they offered a solution. There was just too much trouble to get a shower. We should have read the reviews before booking. That was our mistake.
