Hotel Villa 12 TX

A basic place that does what I needed, and the price was perfect compared with the more expensive hotels in the center. It’s close to downtown, with parking, internet, and card payments. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean. Location, service, and facilities were good; prices were excellent.

The rooms are really cramped. You have to get up just to switch off the light, and the water temperature kept swinging between hot and very cold.

The location is ideal, and the room itself was nice, with hot water. In the afternoon, the gentleman at reception was much more helpful than the morning staff, who weren’t great. The internet was truly awful, and the prices shown on Google weren’t accurate. They also kept my ID during my stay, which I’d never had a hotel do before. When I paid by card, they didn’t give me a receipt, saying the terminal didn’t print them, though they didn’t make a fuss about it. The room was fine for sleeping, and the place was okay otherwise.

The location is the one real plus. The rooms were mediocre, with no soap or shampoo, and the towels looked old and dirty. They don’t give receipts, charge a commission for card payments, and add VAT if you ask for an invoice. Watch out for that, SAT.
