Hotel La Plaza de Tequisquiapan

We were happy with our stay. The room was on the small side, but we mainly needed it for sleeping, even though we do like some room to spread out. Everything was very clean. Given that the building is 200 years old, what would you expect? Being right on the square puts you close to everything, including the church bells at 6 a.m. We laughed about it, and it didn't bother us much. The rooster joined in too! We'd definitely recommend the hotel.

The staff were nice, and the hotel seemed nice too, but our room was a problem. It shared a wall with the kitchen, so there was a bad smell and a lot of noise, even during the night. The only view from the window was the courtyard. The church in the main square starts ringing at 6 a.m., so this isn't a good pick if you want to sleep in.

Right downtown, with restaurants and bars just a few steps away, the location was the best part for me. It's a small but pleasant hotel, and the rooms are very spacious, with AC, WiFi, two double beds, and basic amenities. My stay was good. If you're looking for somewhere in Tequisquiapan, this one is worth trying.

I got an electric shock from the metal hand soap dispenser in the room. The wiring must be faulty, possibly because screws were drilled into wires. I told management, but they didn't want to do anything about it.
