Matian Hotel Boutique

The location is incredible, close to downtown, and the gate and staff make it feel very secure. The pool was so warm, even at night. Rafael was amazing during our one-night stay, always attentive and providing impeccable service. The room did get noisy in the morning and at night because it isn’t very well insulated, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. Everything else was incredible, and I’d come back.

The garden is peaceful and lovely, and the food was lovely too. The service was very, very good and made the stay feel extra special.

After two and a half weeks of traveling, this was just the right place to rest, relax, and recharge between Guanajuato and Mexico City. The beds and rooms were really comfortable, and the staff were superb. One of my favorite small hotels. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I was in Tequisquiapan for work, and Matian made the trip feel like a happy little oasis. The team is the best part: they’re attentive, remember what you like, and offer it next time. They’ll help plan some sightseeing or try to make a specific food request happen, and the food is some of the best in town. Service like this, in such a personal and friendly setting, is five-star. I truly hope I get the chance to return to Matian. The hotel is beautiful and well placed, near the town center without being right on top of it. The warm pool is well maintained, and the tables around it are comfortable for breakfast or just hanging out. There’s an attractive gate at the entrance that adds security without spoiling the look. It’s locked at night, but staff open it when you arrive late, and we never had a long wait.
