B My Hotel

I usually stay at the Ibis next door, but booked this one on a whim for a quick night before heading farther south. It's not in the best location, though it's manageable and close to Costco, Tacos El Franc, and several medical offices, which could suit some travelers. For such a budget-friendly option, it was a pleasant surprise: the room was clean, and the included breakfast was better than ones I've paid for elsewhere. If you need a clean place to sleep and good value, this is an easy choice.

A ten-minute walk gets you downtown. The bathrooms were okay and the place was clean. They have security and breakfast, but no fridge, so plan for that.

Breakfast was included from 7-10am, and I really liked it. It's a small spread, with oatmeal, pancakes, scrambled eggs, beans, nacho chips, papaya, and pastries. There's also a coffee machine and ice machine available all day. My room was okay, though it faced the hallway rather than the outside, so it was a bit stuffy but bearable. The hotel looks pretty new and has a minimalist, Ikea kind of feel. It's in a plaza with an orthopedic and an optometrist, not too far from the main road. It was quiet except for daytime construction. The power went out for around 45 min on my first day, though that's probably outside the hotel's control.

The neighborhood seems to be up and coming, while inside the updates look recent, as in the photos. Every employee I met seemed to care about my stay, and the breakfast was really good. The water pressure was strong and the temperature stayed steady, and the towels were thick. The shower stall was fine, though I'd prefer more room. The air was easy to control. The mattress wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. This is a gem in a rough area. I'll definitely stay again.
