Hotel Frontiere

Handy if you’re going to Prada medical center for a facelift, about a 10-minute walk away.

I was in town for surgery and wanted a comfortable bed, which I got. The renovated room was clean and quiet, the A/C worked well, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. The walls also kept out noise. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. My only complaint is that the room was short on amenities.

The location was great, and I appreciated them moving us when the AC in our first room didn’t work. But my dad’s phone disappeared. Its last location showed the hotel, and it was switched off even though it had been fully charged. When we called, they said the cleaning staff hadn’t reported finding it. That makes me think someone there stole it. It’s a shame, and whoever took it or knows who did should be ashamed for keeping quiet.

The food in the first-floor restaurant was delicious, and the rooms were quiet with no traffic noise from outside. Parking on the hotel grounds was good too. The rooms themselves felt old, with old furniture, old pillows and a hard mattress. Some rooms are being renovated.
