The price and location were great, but the bed wasn't very comfortable and creaked whenever we all used it. The walls also seemed thin, so sounds from nearby rooms carried through.

Bring earplugs if you stay here. Noise from the hall comes right into the rooms because the concrete building has no sound absorption. You hear doors slamming and people talking, and the tiled rooms carry furniture moving and heavy items dropping too. With an Expedia reservation, payment is made at the hotel. Choose US$ instead of MXN when paying, since the currency conversion costs more. Avoid this seedy hotel if you can.

The room was exceptionally clean when I checked in, and the hot and cold water pressure kept up nonstop. I liked the cool retro vibe and think the place has potential. Parking is accessed by stairs, and there weren't enough spaces for the number of rooms, so they ask for your car keys in case they need to move the vehicle. The pet policy was a major problem. The hotel is advertised as pet friendly, but it isn't, in my experience. Its policy recognizes only seeing guide animals as a disability need, and I was told I'd be charged the same as a room's cost for each animal, per night. Management said they follow state ordinance laws, which they described as judging disability by appearance. Renovation made the stay difficult too. At evening check-in, my child and I were put next to a room where workers were removing 1930s tile. Drilling went on steadily from 10am to 5pm, and no other room was offered. I was told the City Noise Ordinance didn't apply to management or the property. The hotel also isn't handicap friendly, and management wouldn't consider that need during my stay. I have a fractured back and am in the middle of an international move, with my belongings packed into luggage and bins tied onto my vehicle. I was told I'd have to move everything to another room. I ended up checking out instead, and the stay wasn't comfortable. Management confronted me about this review. The manager was a young guy in his 20s learning hospitality as he went. There was no AC, just warm air from an old, dusty, broken-down unit. Management argued that I hadn't asked for a room with working AC at check-in. There were no usable windows either, only ones facing the hallway that were screwed shut, leaving no way to circulate fresh air and making the room hotter. I was told safety ordinances didn't apply to management or the property. Checking out took me four hours. I'm a woman in my 50s traveling with a child during an interstate move, and my Suburban was loaded to the roof with bins tied down. Because checkout was so abrupt, I had to hire someone from the street for $40 to help reload the bins and luggage and secure them on the roof. I had intended to stay a month. While we were securing the load, an employee said we'd been there longer than allowed and needed to hurry. It felt like complete disregard for us as guests. If all you need is a clean room to sleep, shower, and be near party life, this might suit you.

During a serious medical emergency, I felt staff showed no concern for my well-being and instead gossiped about my condition behind my back. That seemed inhumane, negligent, and deeply unprofessional. Privacy was another serious issue. Staff entered my room without knocking or warning while I was undressed. The rooms are outdated and poorly maintained, but what stood out most was the lack of compassion and basic respect for personal dignity. If you might need help or even a minimum level of decency, I strongly advise against staying here.

The place is run down, though the staff are friendly. It's quiet and in a great location.
