Hotel Pueblo Amigo Plaza & Casino

I've stayed here a few times, but this night was the worst. The neighbors next door seemed drunk, banging on the walls and windows and laughing loudly. I waited for hours, then called the desk after 2 a.m. to explain. Raul phoned their room, and I could hear it ringing through the very thin walls. They told staff they were asleep and had been woken up, which wasn't true. Raul called me back to say that, as if I must have been dreaming. He offered to move me at 2 a.m., but I didn't want to get up in my pajamas, so I asked for a refund. About 15 minutes later, someone knocked, and when I didn't answer, they called again to escort me to another room. I told them I needed to sleep because I had an early appointment. I was furious about both the loud, drunk neighbors and the staff calling and knocking at my door in the middle of the night. The next morning I spoke with the manager, Roberto Ancira Delenne. He knew what had happened, but said the neighbors claimed they were sleeping and suggested I might have mistaken the TV for the banging and screaming. Seriously? After all that, there wasn't even a courtesy breakfast. Roberto said I should contact the agency I booked through for the refund, and that he would gladly refund the night. But when the agency called, Elva refused, saying the night had been fulfilled. Roberto then denied the refund he had said he'd give. The soundproofing is terrible. I could hear everything from the neighbors, hallway, and traffic outside. There were also too many drunk guests and cigarette smells despite the designated smoking areas. The service was terrible, and it's a bad place to get a good night's sleep. It wasn't worth the discomfort or money.
