Real Inn Tijuana by Camino Real Hotels

The room was amazing and the location was great. The towels were very worn, and the shower glass looked a bit dirty. The front desk staff were friendly, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and Julio made sure we were happy at breakfast. Leaving the property was a different story. I lost my parking ticket in the lobby or near the payment kiosk. At the exit I explained this to a young woman, who said I'd have to pay another 250 pesos and called security for clearance. The guard asked for my vehicle registration and driver's license, then told me to return to the hotel lobby to prove I was a guest. We came back to the gate with proof of our stay, and the manager and security guards were called over. They asked if the vehicle was mine and why I was in Tijuana. I said I'd already paid for parking and offered to show my bank app, but they ignored me. The manager asked to see my suitcases. I got agitated and said I wasn't stealing anything, then had to show legal documents to explain my visit. She said they only wanted to confirm the vehicle was mine, not charge an extra 250 pesos, but I never got the money back. I felt humiliated. They could have checked the security cameras instead of making such a big issue of a lost ticket. According to Expedia, parking is free, and I shouldn't have had to pay extra or show my luggage after proving I was a hotel guest. If you stay here, don't lose your parking ticket, or you may be charged 250 pesos, the cost of overnight parking.

I stayed one night before a medical procedure, and the room was clean and great. Room service brought everything I needed for my clear diet. The lobby and restaurant looked beautiful with their Christmas spirit. If I come back, I'll stay here again.

The location was the one good thing for us. Our towels were a little wet when we arrived, like they hadn't been changed that morning, and the heater didn't work, so we were freezing all night. They offered another room and fresh towels, but it took an hour to get the towels. Service is slow. The front desk staff are really nice, but I won't stay here again. They've lost my business.

The banquet room was nice, and the staff were great. The bar was easy to get to, though I didn't eat at the restaurant. It's not far from the border and easy to reach, with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean, well kept, and nice.
