The bed and bathroom were clean and well maintained, the bed was very comfortable, and the hot water worked fine, even though I’d heard it could be finicky. The unit is older and could use a kitchen kettle, but that didn’t take much away from a beach-focused trip. Matt was a great host, very helpful, and gave us plenty of useful local tips. One thing to remember when heading out: press the “lock” button. We forgot, but thankfully the area felt safe and nothing happened. The best part is the location. Being right on the beach, with those views and easy access to the water, made the trip for us. If you’re looking for oceanfront and a reliable host, this is a strong choice.

The staff were friendly, but I won't spend money here again. The photos online are misleading. We arrived with kids expecting a bed and a folding couch, but got a small room with no A/C beside the trash bins. It was hot, so we had to leave the windows open all night. Hearing the waves was nice, though the smell was awful. They were also repairing the patios, and drilling and hammering woke us up. The air mattress Chui got us went flat in the middle of the night, so we had to get up and nap on the couch.

The location is great, and the place feels cozy with a beautiful view. The host was great too. Just bring your own blow dryer, since the one in the rental is awful. The online photos make it look better than it is in person.

The neighbors in the building were really quiet, and I had a pleasant stay. The room has a small kitchen, living room, and balcony, plus a bedroom with a flat-screen TV and private restroom. You can see the waves from the balcony, since Tijuana Beach Pad is right on the beach. The building and room entrances both have digital pad locks, and there are security cameras. I'd recommend it to anyone staying in the Tijuana area.
