Crowne Plaza Ciudad de Mexico Norte Tlalnepantla

The location is great, right by Plaza Tlalnepantla and Casa de Toño, which is a very good restaurant. Guests can also use the underground parking at no extra cost. My Jr Suite had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom, although the AC wouldn't get cold. Some rooms have been renovated. Breakfast at the restaurant was complete, with lots of variety and eggs made to order. Dinner service was extremely slow, though, even dessert took 20 minutes.

I had a good stay overall and would come back. The building is nice, though it could use some refurbishment. My room was made up daily even though I hadn't asked, and coffee was provided, but there was no tea. I had to request a tea bag. My platinum status didn't include free breakfast, which seemed like a guest service miss. The front desk could use better training. I asked for a bottle of water, which is normally provided when rooms are made, but was told I had to buy one. Strange. The hotel is decent, and service and front desk knowledge could improve.

The restaurant had a varied menu and a great breakfast buffet, and all the staff were helpful and smiling. The rooms were large, with fairly comfortable beds. My main issue was the music from the lobby bar: it sometimes carried up through the atrium and into the rooms. The live music was nice, but on some nights it went on too late and made it hard to sleep.

I've stayed here twice in the past year for work. The hotel is very clean, the amenities are good, and the staff are friendly. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work. The restaurant is very good, especially the breakfast buffet, and the private cab service is great too. Ask for Marco.
