El Mural restaurant is right next door, with good food, friendly service, and a beautiful view of the zócalo. The hotel is well placed for visiting the Laguna of the Presa de la Soledad, where you can take boats to see the dam and waterfalls, or go on a night tour to see the luciérnagas (fireflies). That trip is simply divine, and I love this town. I’ll definitely be back. It’s a beautiful colonial hotel, right in the zócalo. My room was spotless, nicely decorated, and very quiet, with a large TV. The bed was super comfortable, with clean white sheets and a fluffy comforter, and there was hot water around the clock.

Coming from somewhere warm? Ask for a room on the second floor, or even better, in the newer second area. Trust me, this is the best hotel in town. ☺️
