You can barely see the hotel from outside, but once you're in, it's lovely and well kept. The rooms are small but comfortable, and while the beds aren't very soft, they do the job. I booked online without any problems, and service was quick and good. We also pre-booked a taxi to the airport, and it arrived on time. There are lots of places within easy walking distance. I felt safe and comfortable here, and would recommend it.

My family and I stayed at Hotel Santa Rosa over New Year’s Eve. The location is on an extremely busy street, which we knew, but the crowds at the taco stand right outside the entrance made it hard to get in and out in the evenings. The halls were also very loud. Our first room had dirty floors, and the staff moved us. The mattress in the second room was so worn out that it felt impossible to sleep on without falling off. The room had no safe, either. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

A simple, clean room with comfortable beds that smelled fresh, hot water, and air conditioning. Those are the basics I needed, and the place had them. The man at the front desk was welcoming and polite, and helped me with exactly what I needed. I was impressed that he showed me the rooms before I booked. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The service was great, and the rooms were decent for the price and location. It's easy to get to, right among the shops, including lots of cute stores.

I booked five nights but we're leaving after two. Honestly, I'd have left after the first night if our schedule allowed it. I've never cut a hotel stay short or left a bad review before, and as a small business owner I know reviews matter. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously, even if improvements mean raising the price. The staff at the front desk were friendly and professional, and the cleaning lady did a great job tidying our room while we were out. There are plenty of shelves and surfaces for unpacking, and the hallways have clean, timeless decor. I appreciated the three layers of blankets, too. The hotel is affordable and close to everything. But I've never slept so badly. The beds and pillows are hard as rocks, and I would've preferred a futon. I could hear the person next door using the bathroom, including the toilet and sink, through small windows between the adjoining bathrooms. The ceiling fan only runs on high, with no pull chains or way to adjust it, so we left the bathroom windows partly open for airflow. There are two bathroom drains, one in the shower, with rubber caps intended to block sewer smells. One metal cap wasn't fixed in place, and I accidentally kicked it off within five minutes. That could be a safety hazard. The room windows open onto the main walkway, but I didn't feel secure opening them. They're thin, so conversations and doors closing outside carry right in. The curtains curl at the edges and don't cover the windows completely, letting in the walkway light. At 3 a.m. the room was still bright from a light outside the window. I used a Bobby pin to pull the curtains together. Ironing them might be an easy fix. There's also a long piece of plastic outside along the top of the building or courtyard, and it makes a lot of noise in the wind at night. We found one outlet behind the nightstand and two behind the TV, so there weren't many convenient places to charge devices or use laptops. I hope management considers these issues and finds ways to make the stay better for future guests.
