Happy was warm and quick to help, and the historic district location made it easy to wander to shops, restaurants, and lovely streets on foot. We found it very safe and peaceful. There can be short bursts of loud music from passing cars if you're especially sensitive to noise, but it didn't change how relaxing the place felt. The room was gorgeous and so comfortable, especially the bed, bedding, lighting, shower, and outdoor balcony. Nicest place we stayed in Baja. My husband and I would happily come back to Todos Santos.

The location is ideal for walking to Todos Santos restaurants and cafes, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. I appreciated that they moved us to another room. We stayed four nights, and ended up with mixed feelings. Our first room faced the road, and the traffic noise was constant and shockingly loud, day or night. The cars here are huge, old, noisy, and often playing music, and this is the main street through town. Even with the speed limit, it was unlike any traffic noise I've heard before. We couldn't sleep or even spend time comfortably in that room. The courtyard room we moved to was wonderfully quiet, the complete opposite, though we paid a small extra charge since those rooms are considered superior. Given the poor sound isolation, a free move would have felt fair. The new room's layout, light, and bed were actually less to our liking, but the quiet made that easy to accept. The shower temperature was another matter. We couldn't adjust it properly, despite trying the instructions, and the water swung between scalding and freezing. That hadn't been a problem in the first room. Otherwise the accommodation was quite good, but the noise and then the faulty shower temperature were frustrating. It was also the most expensive place we stayed in Mexico, so we left with reservations.

I’m checking out after more than ten days, and honestly wish I weren’t leaving. I split my stay between two hotels and now regret it. Happy, the manager, was very responsive, though I never needed anything myself. I also saw her go far out of her way to help another guest. My courtyard-facing room was quiet and had a distant sea view. Friends in road-facing rooms noticed more noise, but said it only bothered them on a busy weekend night with the terrace door open. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews. I’ll be back!

We'd planned just two days at Alegria Hotel, but the comfort and beauty won us over and we stayed for our whole time in Todos Santos. The architecture's colors and natural beauty were lovely to look at, and every space had its own character. The bed was really comfortable, too, and the view was beautiful. It felt like being at home. Already looking forward to returning.

“Alegria” means joy, and that felt fitting for our stay last week in Mexico. This was the most beautiful place we stayed and the highlight of the trip. The rooms were clean, spacious, cozy, and even had fast internet. You could tell they'd thought of things that help guests feel at home. We had such a good time there that going home was hard, and I wished I could stay. Todos Santos is worth visiting for the food, people, beaches, art, and history. I'd absolutely return and stay at Alegria again.
