Olga, the house keeper, kept the rooms and grounds looking lovely and in order, always busy at it. We spent two peaceful, really enjoyable days here with friends. The place has a movie-scene setting and such a good feel to it, you notice it as soon as you arrive. The accommodations were just right, and there are local restaurants nearby to try. Take the boat tour with Witcho! The Wi-Fi works very well, though you could also disconnect for a couple of days. I’ll definitely come back to this magical Hotelito Rincón.

The resort has been freshly renovated and painted, and it’s still owned by the original family. Between the rooms and the lake views, it’s a lovely place to stay. There are several good restaurants around, plus a Bass Fishing Tackle Shop and BASS Guides who can take you fishing on the lake. I’d recommend staying a few days and getting out on the water.

A fisherman and guide nearby, Arturo, took us out to fish for bass and check the crawfish he’d caught in his traps. That was really interesting. The hotel itself is a quaint, family-run place in a stunning lakeside setting, with beautiful gardens. It’s typical Mexican accommodation, with clean rooms, hot water, and internet. We had a pleasant stay.
