Hotel Misión Torreón

The pool area looked pretty cool, though I didn't swim. The gym was locked, empty, and unusable. Staff were young but helpful, and the cleaning crew seemed to be doing their best with what they had. Still, the hotel needs much more meaningful maintenance. Owner or manager, please read this and take action. I spent one night on the second floor, where the rooms are extremely outdated. I had to ask for another room because the first one smelled strongly of sewage. The replacement smelled heavily of air freshener, but by morning it smelled bad too. The shower drain seems like a likely source, though I didn't use it. The rooms look neglected. Cupboard and nightstand handles were missing or broken, and the rolling chair had only one of its five rollers. A wall light above the desk didn't work, with a suspicious stain around it, almost as if it had caught fire. The pillows were badly stained beneath their thin covers. The curtains were ripped and broken, and I had to fix them myself just to sleep. The carpet was disgusting, so I kept my shoes on the whole time because I didn't want to bring anything home with me. The strip between the vanity and the room was a tripping hazard. If you're staying on the second floor, I'm sorry, and I hope you got a smoking deal. Please keep your shoes on.
