Inn Express Hotel Tula

I’m back for my third visit, and the clean rooms and reasonable price keep me coming. It’s a basic place, but close to everything, with cable and Wi-Fi that both work. The lobby has secure entry, though the room doors use regular locks. The desk staff are very helpful and even called a taxi and handled my requests. For a meal, Restaurante Los Negritos is just up the block and consistently great. I love this place for the price, and you won’t be disappointed.

From 4 at night, people were moving furniture and talking and laughing loudly. With the marble floors, the noise echoed. I went out and politely asked them to keep it down, then asked again at 4:30, but they kept slamming doors, yelling, and laughing until 6. In the morning, I told the man that the hotel had been a bad, unfriendly experience. They didn’t seem to care, so I left early to move on. When we arrived, the girl barely acknowledged us and stayed on her phone. I almost had to beg for her attention. They first wanted P$800 for a basic room in a basic hotel on a basic street, though I normally pay a maximum of P$400 for simple one-bed rooms like this. In the end, we agreed on P$650 in cash. She also wanted to keep my passport, which I wouldn’t allow because it’s everything to a traveler. Don’t go here. The service is very bad.

The desk service was good when I checked in and again at checkout. The hotel itself is very basic, but it had what I needed, hot water and a comfortable bed.

The dinner was really good, and the room was excellent too. The hotel was excellent, everything was very good.
