The rooms have a lot of character, each with its own artistic theme, and the staff were really friendly. It’s also a handy spot for visiting the archaeological zone. I’m taking off a star because our room stayed too bright at night, and we could hear all the noise from the room across from us.

We stayed for just one night, and the room situation was rough. The first bathroom was dirty and had no towels, toilet paper, or soap, so we asked them to clean it and they moved us to another room. That one had a single bed with a sheet covered in little stones, dirt, and bits of rubber, plus yellowed pillows. We never got hot water for a shower, either. My family and I were met with indifference when we arrived. If you stay here, I’d only do it for a night and get out early.

We booked online the day we arrived because we didn’t know Tula, and the photos had looked promising. The room they gave us was at the far end of the stairs on the left, very dark, with no windows or ventilation. Mosquitoes were everywhere at night, and between the bites and the stuffy air, we couldn’t sleep, LOL. We come from a colder climate, but I still think a fan or air conditioning is needed. The electronic door locks weren’t working that day, either. The housekeeper said we could use the master key, but had to call them whenever we left or returned so someone could let us in.
