One Guadalajara Periferico Norte

It's an easy walk to University of Guadalajara Zapopan campus, but I can't recommend the hotel otherwise. The beds were hard in both rooms, and neither TV worked. There's also a seedy mall next door.

This was our third night here after a family member recommended the place, and we're never staying again. My mother and I went downstairs for breakfast to bring back to our room. We'd done that our first night after asking for trays, but today they had none, so we had to go down again for drinks. On the way back to the elevator, two men at reception stared at us and laughed. We tried to ignore them and waited for the doors. As we got in, one kept laughing and said, “I didn't know they had room service.” That was unprofessional and out of line. No guest should have to be laughed at or hear inappropriate comments. The rooms are very small, and the sheets and pillowcases were stained and dirty. Housekeeping doesn't really clean, they just “tidy up.” I definitely don't recommend staying here.

There are only two small pillows on the bed, and the room has no hangers, washcloths, pool, or in-room safe. The TV and AC didn't work. The fan was loud but didn't put out cold air. I wouldn't find this a comfortable place to stay for more than a day.

If I could, I'd give this zero stars. My grandparents were recently kidnapped and held hostage in their own room. Their phones were tracked to this hotel throughout the 18-hour ordeal. The employees all had something to do with it and wouldn't provide any information. Please don't stay here.
