Bufo Alvarius

After my Adult Gymnastics Retreat in Cancun, I expected to head straight home, but I felt drawn to Tulum and stayed a few more days. I chose Bufo Sanctuary for my first Bufo experience after doing some research, and though I was nervous about how intense it could be, I felt supported and safe as soon as I arrived. Alex and Mariela, who is a nurse, guided the ceremony with care and professionalism. It was just the three of us, and I felt well looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the property is beautifully maintained. I also liked the Mexican brick sauna and cold plunge. Everything felt intentional and healing. The experience was what I needed, and I'd recommend the sanctuary to anyone who feels called to try Bufo, Kambo, or other healing work. The owner, who is from Finland, seemed like a nice guy, though a little socially awkward. There are good restaurants nearby, as well as the Chedraii grocery store. I had a fantastic 90 minute massage from Joanna on two nights in a row. She's awesome. I'd definitely return, and might do the Bufo training.

We went in as a couple for a Bufo session, unsure what to expect since neither of us had tried psychedelics before. We both came away with powerful, profound experiences. Amani and Heather were kind guides and helped us feel at ease, while the front desk staff were quick to answer questions and concerns. They even gave each of us a gift bag as we left. I'd highly recommend it.

I can't really put the enlightened state into words. The Medicine brought me home and connected my spirit with everything that is. My journey felt like pure love, a kind of Nirvana, though everyone's experience is different and all paths lead home. It changed my life, and I'll be back. I'm grateful to the sanctuary for holding a safe space and treating us like family.

We found the Bufo Alvarius Sanctuary during our first anniversary trip and were welcomed warmly. The host at reception patiently answered all our questions. We chose The God Molecule experience, and the care and intention behind both ceremonies really moved us. Karina held a loving space for me, and Keith was just as kind and supportive with my husband. We're so thankful to the team and are already thinking about coming back to Tulum for our anniversary, maybe every year. We'd like to try The Spirit Molecule next time. We can't remember our ceremony guide's name, but he was wonderful and gave the best hugs. A couple of days later he spotted us out and about, stopped to say hello, and asked how integration was going. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
