Casa Nalum

I’ve been visiting Boca Paila and Tulum for more than 20 years, and this ranks among my best stays and experiences there. It’s a beautiful, private slice of paradise, with wonderful local food and five-star service. You’re welcome!

The beach was fabulous, the design was incredible, and the food, including grilled fish and salad, was more than we could have asked for. All the staff made us feel welcome and did everything they could for us. I rent out two very high-end homes in Malibu and another in Bahamas, so I know what it takes to deliver day after day. They pulled it off beautifully. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The service from the staff was world class, and chef Andres made food that was to die for. The rooms were fantastic, full of thoughtful details. Casa Nalum is hard to describe, and I’ve never stayed anywhere more jaw-dropping. The Mayan Riviera is already naturally beautiful, but add a luxury house with its own private beach and it feels like a dream holiday. My only complaint is that no other vacation will top this one. I can’t recommend it enough.

We spent a week at Casa Nalum with our family and three friends, and the setting right on the beach was gorgeous. The kids swam in the pool every day, and we could also reach the peaceful lagoon easily by paddle board or canoe. We had a fun sailing trip on the ocean in the catamaran, with Alessio, the captain, keeping things lively. When we wanted a break from being outside, the main room was a great place to relax, and it could be made into a private movie theater. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even rented a bike for me and brought it to the house, and organized a lovely trip to the Mayan ruins and a cenote. Every meal was delicious, and the cook’s range and skill were a highlight. We asked for paella one night, and he made it. If a relaxing, pampered holiday in a beautiful spot sounds good, you’ll love Casa Nalum.
