The cenote on the property was a real highlight, and the jungle atmosphere made it easy to relax during my four-day stay at Copal Tulum Hotel. The yoga sessions were a 10/10, the on-site photographer was excellent, and the restaurant food was fresh and flavorful. Transportation was arranged smoothly and made getting around easier. Max was especially pleasant, kind, and helpful, and Johnny was very supportive throughout my visit. I had a couple of small frustrations: the door was sometimes awkward to lock and open, and the upgraded room I bought felt a bit small compared with what was shown. Still, I'd absolutely stay again.

We kept coming back to Copal Gastro Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner because the food was so good, and Eddy and the team looked after us so well. They made every meal feel special and were happy to help with anything. This was our third stay at Copal Tulum, and we still love it. The staff make you feel cared for from the start, and their WhatsApp concierge replies quickly about reservations, rides, excursions, food, or anything around the property. The place is peaceful and well run, and I felt safe there, especially traveling from Nashville, Tennessee. Between the lovely grounds, the attentive team, and the relaxed atmosphere, we’re already looking forward to coming back.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the front desk team were welcoming and helpful. We spent a week at Copal and really liked the jungle feel. The pool area is thoughtfully laid out and quiet, and the rooftop pool is beautiful. A few things could be better: there weren’t enough loungers at the main pool, the room service chat didn’t answer non-food requests, and we sometimes noticed a sewage smell in the bathroom.

Having our own transportation worked well here. Copal sits in a useful spot, about a 10-minute walk to the town center and the trendy restaurants and bars, and a 10-minute drive to the beach. We stayed four nights and had two rooms, one with a jungle view and one with a private pool. Both were good. The pool room itself was a little small, though the patio was huge and the pool was private. Daily room service was great, and check-in and checkout were easy. We didn’t use many of the other services. The surroundings are beautiful.

The grounds are lovely, and everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help. The food and drink options were quite good too. I had a pleasant stay here after choosing the property based on other guests’ reviews. If you book a visit, treat yourself to a massage at "The Healing Spot". The one in the private cenote sounds especially nice. I’d happily stay here again if I’m back in the area.
