The room was roomy and nice, and the hosts were really kind. I did have mosquitoes in the room, which sucked, even if I get that it’s the jungle. I’m not giving it five stars because I’d hoped to walk to the beach, but it’s about 4 KM away, so I’d recommend renting a scooter or bike. The roads are also pretty bumpy from construction.

We stayed in one of the upper duplexes, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and an amazing terrace looking out toward the beach through the jungle. The place has a beautiful design, lovely pools, and a real Tulum feel. It’s a small boutique-style spot, and when we were there, they’d just installed fast fiber internet, around 50 Mbps. I’d definitely recommend it. I don’t think there’s another operating lodging this close to the beach properties. I walked to Balabamba beach in 15 minutes, or it’d be one or two minutes by car.

We loved it so much we wanted to stay forever. The apartment was lovely, with a kitchen and jungle view, the pool was amazing, and the staff were friendly. It was easy to get to both town and the beach.
