The staff were very friendly, a family, though they don't speak English, so have a translation app ready. WiFi worked well, and the pool was clean. There's a nice upstairs spot above the restaurant to hang out, and it was quiet. Rooms were very clean with firm mattresses. Breakfast isn't included, but you can get a basic one at an affordable price. The hotel itself is affordable too. There was no coffee maker or microwave in the room, and the sheets had a few stains.

It's a cute little place, and the locked gate made me feel safer. The rooftop dining area was dusty, so we didn't use it. Being right by the main road meant some noise, which could bother light sleepers. The bed was good and firm, and everything was very clean. The people were nice and service was very good. It's a bare-bones hotel, best if you'll be out most of the day and just need somewhere clean to sleep. Having a car would help, otherwise you'll need to figure out local transport quickly. One unusual thing: you have to use your key to lock the room door, even from inside, which I guess helps make sure you take it with you. There are a few things that could be improved: the WiFi was poor in the room, the TV couldn't connect to it, and there wasn't even a table and chairs for eating in the room. The lighting was dim, the ceiling light and fan couldn't be used independently, and the place could use a little upkeep.

We stayed for three nights and found it cozy and relaxing. The staff were kind, respectful and helpful, answering our questions and suggesting places and things to do. The hotel was clean, and the food was delicious. It's a good base if you have your own car. Tulum and Playa del Carmen are both about a 30-minute drive away, and there are lots of lovely cenotes and beaches nearby. Highly recommended!

There are lots of amazing cenotes nearby, though the hotel is about 10-15 minutes by car from Tulum city center. It's right beside the road, so there can be noise. The staff and hotel were nice, and breakfast was good. Our room was okay but could have been cleaner, and the old A/C was very noisy.

The portions at Hacienda dos ojos are generous, so you won't leave hungry. The food was fresh and tasty, especially the fish and shrimp dishes. For an appetizer, they bring Totopos with garlic sauce. That sauce was smooth and amazing, easily the best I've tried. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly. Hacienda dos ojos is a great pick if you're after delicious Mexican food.
