Hotel Howlita Tulum

The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and there was no comforter, just a sheet. There was also no hairdryer or little table beside the bed, so charging your phone means leaving it on the floor or bed. Rooms have AC, and the place is a clean, fairly quiet little sanctuary close to central Tulum. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel, but the price is reasonable. We didn’t try the breakfast.

A lovely small family-run hotel. Cristian, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. The bathroom was modern and well equipped, with a great shower. Sadly, we didn’t get to try the pool and attached bar.

The beds and pillows were so comfortable, and there’s a beautiful pool and outdoor space. Breakfast was great too. Christian and his family are some of the kindest people I’ve met. They made me feel at home right away and treated me like family, always going above and beyond. I got sick while I was there, and honestly, I don’t know what I would’ve done without their love and care. I’m so grateful life brought me here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I think of you all every day with so much love.

The hosts were welcoming, helpful, and knew the area well. It’s a little off the beaten track, but still handy for walking to the main part of town, in a quiet residential spot. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs, toast, and more. Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. The rooms were large, clean, and simple, just right for the climate. I can’t think of a single negative!
