The staff were nice, but the setting ruined the stay. We spent Christmas Eve here and the parties and noise from the clubs and nearby main highway seemed to go on forever. In the middle of the night, some girls tried opening our yurt until I shouted at them. The inside lock wasn’t reassuring, and the outside lock didn’t feel secure either. The photos made it look calm and peaceful, but the nightlife wrecked the atmosphere and our sleep. We wanted something different and new, and this wasn’t it. We should’ve read the reviews first.

Huaya Camp is a lovely alternative to a standard hotel, especially if you like being around nature. The native plants are beautiful and well cared for, and the location puts you near restaurants and shops. It’s about a 20 minute bike ride to the beach, and there’s free parking out front if you rent a car. We had no trouble getting picked up for our Chichenitza tour. The restaurant, “Potheads,” is just before reception, and we liked having morning coffee and fresh smoothies there. We stayed four nights in a clean, spacious yurt with A/C, which kept us cool while sleeping. The staff were friendly, and we loved the dogs. My favorite part was the private outdoor shower, with great water pressure. Taking a shower in the breeze and sunshine was wonderful. A heads up for light sleepers, the nightclubs make some noise. I knew that from reading ahead and brought earplugs, so it was fine for me. Birds also “sing” you to sleep and wake you in the morning.

Huaya Camp was a great base, close to Veleta and Tulum Town and near the road to the beach. We loved the glamping tents, the lovely plants around the well kept grounds, and the outdoor shower. We slept really well. We also tried the temazcal at Huaya and thought it was an amazing experience. Eduardo was kind and helpful, with lots of good tips. Highly recommend. Gracias!

We had a great three night stay with our two year old son. The glamping tents are fantastic and roomy enough for a family of four. The outdoor shower was a nice extra, with a good flow of properly hot water, which you can’t count on everywhere in Mexico or Yucatan.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and our tent was clean with a comfortable bed. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it for the price. The location’s about a 10 minute walk from the center, with restaurants and cafes nearby, and it took us around 20 minutes by bike to get to the beach. Paradies beach was the best one. We were in one of the first tents, close to the pool but also the loud main road. There’s a nearby food court with live music until 2 a.m., so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The so called coconut shower was just a basic camping shower, with no coconut or anything, though it didn’t really matter to us. Bike rentals seemed a bit overpriced, since we paid less at other hotels in Tulum.
