Hotel Pocna

Yoga was a perfect way to start the day. The breakfasts were really good, with enough choice to try something different each morning, and the team were great. Jorge especially looked after me from day one, thank you! My jungle-view room was one of the more basic options, but it was gorgeous. Waking up to the sunrise felt special, and the room was immaculate with everything I needed. Just a heads-up, the bathroom is only semi-private if you're sharing with someone.

Juan and Jorge were the real highlight for us. During our beach days at Pocna, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They greeted us with smiles and made us feel like valued guests. Their kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm made each day better, and left a lasting impression on our vacation. It was my first trip to Mexico, and staying here made it even more special. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service stood out. Everyone on the team made us feel welcome and looked after. This definitely won't be my last visit to Mexico. I'd recommend this place for its setting, service, and the memorable stay we had.

We loved our five days at Pocna. The Mexican restaurant's food was very good, and the hotel sits right on what seemed to me the nicest part of the beach. Ruinas Tulum is about a 20-minute walk along the beach. There are some trade-offs: you have to pay the extra fee for the park, service can be slow at times, and breakfast extras cost more. It can also get loud. But that's part of staying in a national park. The nature is stunning, the hotel avoids unnecessary things like plastic, and they clearly care about it. You can refill your water whenever you like. I was hesitant because of some bad reviews, and some of those points are true, but we still loved it.

I first came to Tulum in 1998, when there was almost nothing here and it felt like a real paradise. After a week at Pocna Tulum, I loved every second. It still has the quiet luxury atmosphere I look for, away from the circus the rest of the stretch has become. The team are kind and very service-minded. A big shout-out to Jorge, always smiling and checking that everything was good, from breakfast through to the beach club.
