My stay at Mamasan Treehouse Hotel was unacceptable. There was something that looked like rat droppings on the bed, a major sanitation failure. The room also had a water vat for drinking, and both people who drank from it became violently ill. Management showed no urgency and wouldn’t offer a refund or any meaningful solution. For what this costs in Tulum, that’s inexcusable. I wouldn’t stay there again.

We had spacious, clean, cool and quiet rooms with lovely views of nature. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a short walk to public beach access or the beach clubs, and the restaurant out front makes great coffee. Definitely recommend it as a Tulum base.

At night it was peaceful and quiet, and we slept well. I stayed in the dome, and watching the sunset through the window with jungle all around was unforgettable, a magical experience. The room was beautiful, clean and well presented. The location is spectacular, surrounded by nature while still close to everything. A really special, relaxing stay. I’d definitely come back.

The location made it easy to get to beach clubs and nearby restaurants, and the staff were welcoming from check-in. We first booked a clean, roomy, comfortable bungalow, then got a complimentary upgrade to a glass-dome room. The tub, views, and design were fantastic, and the room was spotless and comfortable. I wasn’t sure about staying here when I booked, but it turned out to be well worth it. I’d happily book this room type again and recommend the upgrade.

The lobby staff were so responsive and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. They gave us good food tips, showed us how to walk to a cenote about five minutes away, and explained that the beach is accessible through another hotel. When they realized we were heading to Chichen Itza without having planned much, they even offered us an umbrella for the sun. The bedrooms were incredible, the service was exceptional, and the hotel felt cute, authentic, and local. We had an amazing time.
