The staff were wonderful and helpful, and the views were beautiful from the large rooms. It's a shame the hotel feels run down and in places unsafe, because it has a lot of potential. The wooden stairs dangled, and in our penthouse suite we avoided the wooden balcony because some pieces were loose. The room was huge but had nowhere to sit, no dresser, just one drawer and a small hanging space. There were no basic kitchen items. The water stopped several times during a shower, and the toilet water stopped too. Great location and amazing views, but the place could use an update.

The staff made this stay feel personal. Everyone we met was warm, helpful, and smiling, and they really made us feel at home. The hotel itself was calm and pleasant, with clean, comfortable rooms that were well cared for. We especially loved being right by the beach, with access to two beaches, and the pool was spacious and clean too.

The place feels dated, and the rooms are very dark. Several things were broken, including the toilet and faucet. After I complained, maintenance came and stayed in the room all day, leaving it inaccessible. The hotel was nearly empty, so I don't understand why they couldn't move me to another room. Tulum has plenty of nice hotels and resorts. I'd spend my money somewhere else.

We came back in the evening to find the staircase to the top floor unlit. With the condition of the wooden stairs, that felt genuinely dangerous. Reception said the lights couldn't be on because they might disturb the turtles, which I didn't believe, especially with the rest of town lit up nearby. The receptionist then went back to his mobile. Earlier, the water had been off for 24 hours. I suggested staff could flush the toilets with seawater, but nothing was done.
