The inside garden was pleasant, and the hammocks were great for relaxing. The caretaker was also genuinely helpful and kind, moving us to a room that was a little better. The price was low, so I guess we got what we paid for. The place felt quite shady, though. Our first room smelled odd, the linens were very dirty, there was no water in the bathroom, and the wifi didn't work.

We stayed five days, and the rooms were stylish, lovely, and cleaned every day. One evening after walking downtown, we came back to find David, Alberto, and Carmen grilling tacos. They were delicious. Alberto, David, Carmen, and Patti were the best hosts. They made us feel like family, not just at home. Every morning there was coffee ready and friendly faces, plus the Queen Bee, Mikka! It was a wonderful stay, and we made friends here. We'll definitely be back. Peace, love, no war ; )

The patio is nice, and the reception staff were kind. Still, I had no electricity on the last day, the shower pressure was nearly nonexistent, and I had to clean lime from it to get any water through. One towel was dirty, and then some money went 'missing.' To their credit, they gave me the equivalent amount a minute after I reported it. Even so, if you stay there, don't leave valuables in the room.

Fine for a place to crash, and it seemed clean. It was a budget stay. The sink was across the room from the bathroom, and its pipe was split, so using it sent water onto my feet. The door wouldn't latch either, so the lock was the only thing keeping it closed.

We'd booked and paid ahead, but arrived exhausted to find the place shut. I had to find another hostel late at night. When I went back the next morning, a young man told me it had been closed for two months. No wonder it costs less than the other hostels around.
