Prana Tulum Boutique Hotel

The rooms felt new and were fabulous, with AC and a smart TV. I loved the rain shower, and the free breakfast was great each day. You can choose egg dishes or pancakes and waffles from the restaurant menu. There's free distilled water on every level. The lower pool is nice but doesn't get much sun, while the rooftop plunge pools get more sun through the day and have nice views. The staff were super warm and friendly. The hotel is a bit away from the main downtown area, about a 15-minute walk to the action, but I didn't mind, especially with all the shade from the trees. I felt safe nearby late at night. It's also convenient for the big Chedraui supermarket, with a great scooter rental and the captain’s restaurant open late about a block away. A heads up for Tulum generally, you can't flush anything down the toilet, so used toilet paper has to go in the garbage. It takes some getting used to as a tourist because the plumbing infrastructure isn't extensive. Great value in a lovely hotel. I'll be back!

After 12 days, this place had started to feel like home. The front desk team, staffed 24 hours, were all wonderful. They answered my questions patiently and correctly, and Héctor M. was especially helpful and friendly. I loved my large, clean room, the well-kept grounds, and the rooftop terrace. I watched several beautiful sunsets up there, got some sun, and cooled off in one of the four little pools. I also spent hours in the hammock listening to downloaded books. It became my second favorite place to hang out. Breakfast was always delicious and carefully made, and I had two delicious suppers there as well. Everything was so well taken care of. I'm definitely staying here again!

I stayed in suite kashaya and liked it. The room is spacious, with a balcony, a pool, and a nice view. My only complaint is that the bathroom should be covered or have a door. There are several pools on the rooftop. The staff are friendly, and the location is great, within walking distance of centro and about a 30-minute walk from La veleta area.

Breakfast was a struggle from the start: we had to queue for a table, the menu offered almost no choice, and the scrambled eggs tasted like cardboard. The cheeseburger we ordered didn’t even have cheese, and the margaritas were the worst we’ve had in Mexico. We stayed four days, and the room was dark because the windows had film over them, blocking both sunlight and the view outside. The toilet was right in the kitchen with no separation, so making coffee and using it happened in the same space. Hallway noise sounded like someone was right beside the bed. Staff were slow and not much help. The building looks great from outside, but the inside was a letdown. Don’t be fooled by the Booking photos. Avoid this place.
