Pepem Holistic Experience - Peaceful Retreat Near Tulum

Walking the trails around Pepem was a highlight. The jungle sounds and all the plants and fruit trees were lovely, and we spotted iguanas, birds, butterflies, and even toucans. It's their home, so be respectful of the wildlife. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and cozy, and the whole place felt peaceful and connected to nature. The staff were really friendly and happy to help, whether we wanted suggestions for nearby spots or just a chat. I recommend staying here. I noticed they host retreats too, and I'd like to come back.

The chef's food was delicious, especially with the local fruits and leaves from the area. The staff were all so welcoming and kind, too. I loved being surrounded by nature and waking to birdsong. Hearing animals moving around at night made the stay feel like an adventure. Swimming in the nearby cenote was another favorite. I'd love to return when I need to rest and recharge.

The chef was the best part for us. We've eaten at plenty of fancy places, but his food was on another level, full of flavor and color. He was happy to chat and gave us lots of vacation tips. The staff made us feel like family, and we'd recommend the place for the retreats they're planning. We loved our three nights at Pepem. Our room was in the « jungle » and had a beautiful pool. The hotel's style and atmosphere were amazing, and we felt close to nature, especially waking to the sounds of forest animals. We'd seen comments about insects in the rooms. You're in the jungle, so you might get a few. We'd suggest closing the doors and windows, using the mosquito net, and keeping lights off at night. We also saw comments that the windows don't lock. That's true, but honestly, we still felt secure.

I especially loved staying in the huts in the jungle. Fireflies appeared at dawn, and birds and other wildlife came around to visit. The pools looked great too, and I enjoyed the yoga gathering houses with their different sound instruments. We were there during rainy season and ended up being the only guests. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant served great food for most of the day. It's a wonderful place to get away, enjoy nature, and explore yourself. I'd recommend spending a few days there.
