The hotel is still being built and doesn't seem fully operational. The pool wasn't maintained and couldn't be used. Our shower had no hot water and zero pressure, so we couldn't shower. Breakfast was very basic, just two eggs and very low-quality bread, served in a room that smelled of trash. Staff were constantly on their phones. The filtered water machine at reception didn't work, and apparently you can't refill your bottle in the kitchen after checkout. They say you're only allowed to drink that water on the premises. Total BS. The hotel is right on the busy road to the beach, and we had to wear earplugs to sleep. Bad experience.

My wife and I stayed upstairs in bungalow #4, and I was really pleased with the hotel and our visit. Before we arrived, I called twice to check whether the rooms had A/C, and they were so kind on the phone. At check-in, the front desk was sweet and accommodating. Oliver was my favorite. He looked after us throughout the stay and was amazing. I'd definitely stay at this cute little hotel again.

The hotel we had booked was overbooked, so my mom and I were sent here. Because the other place sent us at the last minute and they weren't expecting us, we had to change rooms twice in two days, which was frustrating. Still, in the end we were glad to have stayed. It was a real upgrade from the "hotel" we'd originally booked. The staff did everything they could to make us comfortable, especially Juan José, who is an angel. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is tasty, and there's now a breakfast room. The location is great: quiet, close to a big supermarket and good restaurants, and not far from the center since Tulum is small. We did see a few cockroaches and mosquitoes, though that happened everywhere we stayed in Quintana Roo. I'd happily return.

It's a noisy place, and the location is quite out of the way. Loud music from nearby starts early in the morning, then plays again at night until around 12 a.m. while we were there. Even with earplugs, the bass came through. The hotel is also close to a road used by heavy trucks and cars, and traffic noise is very clear. Staff were fine and spoke English, and breakfast was simple. They rent bikes for 150 pesos, but ours had no light or bell and the handles were loose. It's about 15 minutes to the town center and too far to walk to the beach area. Taxis outside the hotel quoted 150 pesos for the beach, which felt like a scam for a drive of less than 10 minutes. There's no Uber in Tulum. I wouldn't recommend staying here more than two nights.

The rooms and pool area were ready, so the temporary reception and lack of a breakfast room weren't an issue for us. It looked like the place had just opened, around February 2018. The standard rooms have a nice cottage feel and comfortable beds, and the small pool area is pretty and relaxing. A good start, five stars.
