Fishing was a real highlight, with countless chances at bonefish, permit, and tarpon. Our group caught lots of nice bonefish and several huge permit. The meals were another standout, all delicious fresh local flavors and Mexican food. Breakfast was hearty, lunch came packed for the boat, and dinner felt like a family reunion, with cold cervezas and Daniel's margaritas made from fresh limes picked from his nearby fruit tree farm. I challenge you to stop at one! Daniel and his staff welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The lodge was spotless, with well-kept rooms and modern comforts. Even in such a remote spot, everything from the linens to the hand-raked grounds was immaculate and showed the owners’ pride. Daniel’s hospitality and easy charm bring it all together. He knows the town of Punta Allen and has years of personal experience and history in the area, which sets ABL apart from other lodges I’ve stayed in. The remote location feels adventurous, but Daniel and his staff make sure you’re comfortable and cared for. It’s a great place to disconnect, enjoy the natural beauty, and focus on tight loops while still getting first-class hospitality. This is a well-run fishing lodge that delivers on every front, and I’m already planning to come back.

Everyone was so nice, and the beachfront cabin was fantastic. It had AC, but we chose to listen to the sea and wind instead. It was fabulous.

The little fishing village was lovely, with a stunning beach just a block away. Prices were great, and the fish was the best we ate on our whole trip, which lasted more than two weeks across the Yucatan. I’d love to go back.

We stopped here for a snack while we were in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, then came back later for lunch. The staff were friendly, and the buffet lunch was gorgeous. Such a beautiful place to sit and spend the day!

A lovely shabby-chic spot, close to the beach. The food was really good, especially the hot sauce, and the staff were very friendly.
