The owner was incredibly helpful during our four-night stay. We loved the jungle bungalow and its kitchen, where we cooked lots of meals. The bird tower and hammocks were highlights, and there was a tap outside our unit with clean drinking water, either reverse osmosis or charcoal filtered.

We had a great three-night break from civilization. Julian was a wonderful host, quick to respond and helpful. The tower was a lovely spot to relax and watch birds in the morning or evening. You’re in the jungle, so expect fans instead of AC and a dusty, bumpy road to get there. If that puts you off, this may not be for you, but we loved it.

For an unforgettable stay in the Tulum jungle, H2Ojos is the place. Julián and Mauricio make you feel like you’re visiting family, and it became a home away from home for us. It was the highlight of our trip.

The owner was so helpful with transit and groceries, thanks again! We had great service, a very kind host, and a full immersion in nature at this eco-hotel in the tropical dry forest. There are a few restaurants close by, but no grocery store. Surprisingly, I barely saw any mosquitoes and never needed bug spray. For birdwatching, it’s paradise. I spent two nights here in May 2025 and got 40 lifers! The tower has chairs, a table, and shade, and the roads around the hotel are also good for walking and seeing lots of birds.

Such a fantastic Tulum getaway, with the kindest, most welcoming hosts. Keep an eye out for their precious little jaguar, Kitty Loche.
