Uolis Nah Hotel Villas

The inside is pretty, even though the outside gives a different impression, and the little bungalows are cute. It’s a family-run place with friendly people, someone at the desk all day and night, and English spoken there too. A locked gate keeps outsiders out. Our room was cleaned daily, and the shower was nice, with soft water. Breakfast is fruit and toast; you can order other things for a charge. We got chilaquiles and they were really good. The AC was freezing the first night, but we turned it up the next one. It’s by a busy road, so there’s traffic noise outside, which we knew about and didn’t mind. We had our toddler with us, and the TV Wi-Fi for YouTube was slow, though that’s common in Mexico from our experience traveling there. No microwave, and the fridge...

We left without staying, and I’m glad we did. Our room door’s lock had been pulled right out of the frame, so we couldn’t lock it, even with help from the receptionist. When we asked for our money back, they said it wasn’t a security risk. I can’t see how a door that won’t lock could be anything else, and their response made me wonder what other problems there might be. The hotel is on an extremely noisy road and, in our experience, offered no security. I would have felt very unsafe there. Avoid it.

The pool was a peaceful spot to relax, and the rooms were quiet and clean. We felt tucked away in a cocoon, though the city center wasn’t far. There’s parking, and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Special thanks to the wonderful staff 😁

We spent seven nights here, with parking available and a great pool as a bonus. The staff were helpful and very friendly, and breakfast was perfect. It’s close to a supermarket and to what they call the “centre,” which is really a street packed with tourist shops.
