Hotel Villa de Urike

Finding this secluded spot felt like an adventure, and getting there is a real 4-wheel drive trip. If you've got a 4 wheel drive, it's a must-see place to stay. The owner was professional and attentive to our comfort. When my brakes smelled and I wanted them checked, he arranged everything, and also helped with food stores, gas, and travel advice in the high heat. The staff were just as helpful, and the place was immaculate. Mangos fell into the pool every day, adding to the magic of the space. With mountains all around, I enjoyed my morning rituals even more. It's hard to put this beautiful place into words. It hasn't rained in over 2 years, and the drought is real. Hydrate, and bring extra water for the four-legged ones, the winged ones, and the people of Urike.

The courtyard deserves all the praise it gets, with its clean pool among trees and flowers, plus day beds and hammocks for relaxing. The owner was lovely and offered to let my partner and me keep our motorcycle inside the courtyard for safety. This was the most comfortable and beautiful place I stayed while traveling through Copper Canyon. The room was spacious and clean, with modern furnishings, air conditioning, and a hot shower.

The outdoor space feels like a little oasis, and inside the rooms are beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. The owner looks after the hotel well and was helpful with information before we arrived and while we were there. Next door, there's a nice place to eat, "Restaurante Plaza", with a legendary owner. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

We were lucky to find this spot right by the river and beside the town center. The pool and rooms are beautiful, and the guest service was amazing, friendly, and helpful, especially since I don't speak Spanish. Great restaurants and shopping are only a one-minute walk away. Everyone traveling with me thought it was the best hotel we'd stayed at on our journey through the cooper canyon.
