The rooms at Chak Tunche were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the food was amazing. We also spotted beautiful birds around the property, including a colorful motmot and a trogan. Vania and Jorge have made the place feel like a creative, relaxing natural oasis. It was the highlight of our stays across the Yucatán, so we changed our plans and came back. We’ll return again!

We began our trip at #chaktunche and came back to finish it there. Vania and Jorge are lovely hosts, and the food was fantastic. Our room was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable, and the pool was lovely too.

A great place to unwind in the Maya forest. The pool is incredible, and there’s also a water massage and sauna. Art and creativity give the place a distinct feel, while the family running it is very conscious of the environment and has an ongoing project to cultivate fish and other species. It’s easy to get there, and once you arrive, it’s hard to want to leave. You’ll find the services needed for a comfortable stay close to nature and a sustainable break from everyday life. I’d love to come back and see what’s new at Chaktunche.

The restaurant has a jungle feel, though it’s a little hidden and could use bigger signs. The food is good and nicely presented, with a gourmet style, but the portions are small. I’d also like more options at breakfast and lunch. They don’t have juices or fruit. The rooms aren’t open yet.
