Mesón De Leyendas Breakfast & Downtown

We weren’t staying at Meson de Leyendas, so I can’t comment on the rooms, but we found it while looking for dinner and ended up coming back twice. The patio was a beautiful oasis under the trees, with warm lighting, especially after coming in from the busy street. We had pizza and tasty cocktails, and the strawberry marg is worth trying. We returned for cafe de olla and breakfast, then again the next evening for wine. Willi was very helpful when I asked about the spa services. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in Valle!

The hotel was lovely, a little quirky and unusual, and our bedroom was huge. We arrived late but still got dinner at the restaurant, then had a lovely breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly and eager to speak English, even though we could speak Spanish. It’s centrally located and has private parking. They even cleaned our car, which was a really nice surprise. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting town.

The location is very convenient, within walking distance of the Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís, the market, artesanía market, and zócalo. The lake is only a short taxi ride away. Rooms were clean, cozy, and nicely designed, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was a nice extra, with good food and drinks, plus live music on weekends. It was great to have a delicious breakfast before heading out for a full day. There was some street noise, which you’d expect from the location. I’m a light sleeper, but it didn’t bother me much, and the hotel provides earplugs. I’d stay again.

The management really goes out of its way to make your stay special, and the service is outstanding. We loved the rooms and the food was amazing. Highly recommended.
