The staff were always around and happy to help, and they were very friendly. There's plenty to explore nearby, including great restaurants and bars, while the historic district and market are an easy walk away. Highly recommend.

I had a great stay here. The neighborhood is lively, feels safe, and is comfortable to get around. The staff are relaxed and helpful, and they keep the old building regularly maintained. A great choice if you're visiting Veracruz for the first time.

Liliana was a real sweetheart. I wasn't feeling well during my stay, and her warm spirit and knowledge of Veracruz's music and culture meant a lot. I especially enjoyed hearing about the roots of Son Jarocho in our conversations. The service was friendly and helpful, and she knew a lot about the city and surrounding area. The apartment is a couple of blocks from the main hostel, in the Huaca district. It's a little rustic, but being surrounded by families gave it a safe feeling. The area has a history of musicians and artists, with murals and a strong sense of community.

The bed is comfortable when it isn't raining, but the roof leaks. The upstairs bar is closed because it doesn't have a license. The room is only 10 feet from a major road, so bring earplugs. Aside from the Chedrui, everything worth seeing is a long walk away. The night shift was right on, and the new girl(?) working nights and days was great too. Bring OFF!, there are loads of mosquitoes and other bugs.

The room was great, and it had AC 🙏🏻. Everyone working here was so nice, especially Lily, who was kind and helpful in every way.
