I came for the beach and Carnaval, with meetings to fit in between. Jesus at the front desk and Jesus at the restaurant both gave service above the industry standard. Valeria made the trip feel special. I’d visited sites in Veracruz before meeting her, but wasn’t sure my investment was welcome. After a real conversation with her, my family and I feel our investment and our future here are truly welcome. Her insight helped us see that Veracruz has a real future for us. Without her, I’m not sure my family would have felt the full carnival spirit or secured funding. She’s a guardian angel and a funding angel. Long live Veracruz, long live Mexico, long live los Américas!!!

The employees were kind, but the hotel was really disappointing as a place to rest. I chose it because it was close to the attractions, but the first room smelled moldy and had mold all over the curtains. We asked to switch rooms, and the second one was in the same condition. The hotel is very old and doesn’t seem properly maintained. The restaurants were full of outside guests, so there was nowhere for hotel guests to eat. Cleanliness was my main concern, and I had to leave.

We rented 3 rooms, and none had hot water. Whenever we wanted to shower, we had to call someone to fix it, and even then it took a long time for hot water to come through. Steam from the showers also set off the fire alarm at random times.

The employees were so kind, and the service was spectacular. The front desk team were phenomenal, and the maintenance team came to our room in the late afternoon. Thanks for all your hard work. I hope to come back soon (:
