The pillows and mattress were wonderful, and the sheets and bedding were really comfortable. Towels were adequate, though there was no washcloth, as usual. Of the hotels I've stayed at on recent trips over the last three months, this one was the best. The staff knew their stuff, were helpful and friendly, no sour faces around. I'd definitely like to come back with my family.

The room worked for a short stay, and the food was good. Music from the street gets very loud at night. Better to join the street party than try to stay in your room. It's a good place otherwise.

My friends stayed here a few months back and were brutally assaulted during their stay. The hotel wouldn't even offer a refund. Staff weren't helpful, and nobody spoke English. A terrible place, not recommended for foreigners.

There are musicians and other events in the Plaza throughout the day, and bands keep playing until 4 a.m. from Thursday through Sunday. Events inside the hotel also went on until 2 a.m. With so little quiet or peace, this is terrible if you want to relax or rest.

I stayed for a day while I was joining a ship, and I really liked the hotel. The city was beautiful, and it was my first time in South America. I'd definitely like to visit again.
